The Ritchey WCS Trail mountain stem is meant to take a beating. It is designed for increased stiffness and strength, while keeping the weight as low as possible. The beefy C220 clamp design is intended to reduce flex and stress from the bolts and distribute the impact and torque throughout the body of the stem. The practical WCS Trail fits a wider variety of riser bar bends and the reverse mounted faceplate bolts create a clean appearance as well.
Ritchey specifically designed the WCS Trail stem for 5-6" travel trail bikes that utilize wide bars. It has a zero degree rise and is manufactured from 3D Forged 2014 alloy for superior strength and lightweight. A 70mm length, for example, weighs in at only 115 grams.
